Valdosta Construction Project begins Monday

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

 The City of Valdosta will begin installing storm water pipes on River Street in preparation for a new sidewalk project.

This project is expected to be completed by the end of March, depending weather conditions.Some lanes will be closed.

Drivers should use caution and watch for signage directing traffic.

    The Valdosta Fire Department held a family and friends day Saturday welcoming 10 new recruits to the team.  The event allowed the community to come out and welcome the new firefighters and their families to the Valdosta Fire Department family.
