MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC-TV) – One person is dead after a shooting at a Memphis hotel.  

Police responded to a shooting call at the Deluxe Inn and Suites in the 3500 block of Lamar just before 6 o'clock Saturday evening.

Upon arrival, they found a man dead inside the hotel room from an apparent gunshot wound.

It's unclear what may have led to the shooting, but the incident is being investigated as a homicide.

Witnesses on the scene didn't want to go on camera, family members at the scene says the victim was a 22-year-old man.
