ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany's Lara Lyn Carter signed copies of her first cookbook "Southern Thymes Shared" at Place on the Pointe.

The book pairs southern food with wines of the world. Carter says there are 23 menu style recipes in the book. Her favorite is the "Hunt Supper".

"One of the things that make the book unique is it not only southern food paired with wine, but in there we have a lot of stories and anecdotes that really make it a good read. So if you're not a good cook you can enjoy the book as a good read, it's a good gift," said Lara Lyn Carter.

You can buy "Southern Thymes Shared" at Place on the Pointe and other gift shops in Thomasville and Valdosta. You can also find her book online at Amazon.com and Books-A-Million.
