Does Albany home arson investigation involve murder case?

Posted: Updated:
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Firefighters say a house associated with the Spurlock murder investigation was intentionally set on fire late Thursday night.

This home in the 900 block of Riley Street was heavily damaged by fire about 11:30 Thursday night.

Investigators served a search warrant there in January in relation to the murder case.

Neighbors say they haven't seen the resident,  Stephanie Taylor, since the home was searched last month.

Investigator Sam Harris said "the fire was an intentionally set fire located on the east side of the structure. And we are doing follow ups."

Firefighters say the house had no power when it was set on fire.
