CJB expands Valdosta Harbin Plant

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Information from the Valdosta-Lowndes Industrial Authority-

CJB Industries, Inc., with corporate headquarters and production facilities located in Valdosta, is adding a 42,000-square-foot expansion to its current manufacturing facility in Azalea City Industrial Park.

The new 154,000-square-foot facility will produce 10 full-time jobs, and represents a $2,050,000 investment by CJB Industries, Inc.

In order to meet the growing needs of the chemical manufacturing industry, CJB has made several investments over the past years to its Valdosta-based operation within the areas of new machinery, equipment, product lines and workforce.

CJB Industries is the Independent supplier of choice for chemical manufacturing services, formulating, processing, filling and packaging liquids and solids products for Industrial market customers.

The Industrial Authority is an organization that oversees industrial and economic development in Valdosta and Lowndes County.

    South Georgia is full of dirt roads and in Baker County officials are concerned with the amounts of expected rainfall.  "Anytime we have a rain event, we are definitely concerned about people in the county being able to travel the dirt roads," said Sherry Bailey, Baker Co. Manager and EMA Director.

    County leaders Early County are keeping an eye on the flood watch...preparing for the worst.  The county's EMA Director has been watching the weather closely since Thursday in preparation for the storm.
