ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Information from Darton State-

Darton Assistant Professor of Music, Dr. Matthew Cochran, released his debut album "Vapor Trail from a Paper Plane."

Cochran is a singer-song-writer and virtuoso guitarist whose music is a mixture of folk song, bluegrass, and classic conservatory training.

His collection of songs feature deeply personal lyrics that are sometimes funny and sometimes tragic, with lush string arrangements offset by banjos and soaring winds that recall the vastness of the American experience.

Darton State College hosted a CD release concert on February 4. Cochran performed sample songs from his album such as "Cicadas at the Equinox," "Old Chuck Flynn," and "Jesus Loves Belinda."

Cochran's album, "Vapor Trail from a Paper Plane," can be purchased on ITunes or Amazon.
