MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Moultrie police make more arrests for online prostitution.

29-year old Jamie McConnell of Albany and 21-year old Jasmine Mosher of Moultrie were arrested last week just hours apart.  Police say they posted ads on a social media site offering sex for money. An undercover officer answered the ad and met the women on North Veterans Parkway where they were arrested.

"We've seen an increase in this especially using the Internet, everybody has access to the Internet through their computer, laptop, tablet, cell phone. So this has become a way for the prostitutes to advertise themselves and to make fast money," said Sgt. Daniel Lindsay.

Both women were charged with misdemeanor prostitution and released on $1100 bond.    Moultrie Police made a similar arrest a few weeks ago and warned they would continue to monitor web sites for prostitutes.
