MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

Students and teachers at Moultrie Technical College are being honored for their excellence.

The college held it's GOAL luncheon Wednesday. Out of 23 nominees, massage therapy student Julie McDonald won student of the year. Math instructor Tamara Gray was named instructor of the year.

"I am just honored to represent the Technical College system of Georgia for Moultrie Tech and it's just a real honor to be here," said McDonald.

"Well I am grateful and it's an honor to know that my peers will nominate me for such a prestigious award," said Gray.

McDonald received $200 from the Chamber of Commerce and a scholarship from the school. She and Gray advance to the regional GOAL competition held in March.
