A suspect in an overnight drive-by shooting that left four people injured is now in police custody.
Albany Police say Gamba Brown, 35, was picked up 300 block of Clark Avenue around 8:00 a.m. Monday and taken to the Dougherty County Jail.
Brown has been charged with four counts of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Police began their search for the gunman after someone opened fire from inside a car in the 100 block of West Oglethorpe around 2:30 Monday morning.
Police say the victims 20-year-old Javarius Thomas, 22-year-old Travis Bradford, 21-year-old Angelique Stokes, and 21-year-old Sharnelle Sewer were injured in the shooting and taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The gunman crashed his car following the shooting not far from the downtown Law Enforcement Center.
Police towed the suspect's car, a Mercedes E350, from the scene, as they searched for the gunman, who took off running.
