ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

February is heart health month and to kick if off Phoebe hosted a Zumbathon across the street from their main hospital.

More than 100 people came in to join in on the Salsa and merengue dance moves and exercise. This was an effort to get people heart healthy and active.

"So we want you to be healthy we want you to eat properly. We want you to be active, we want you to stop smoking and we want you to practice early detection. That's the signs of  what this month is all about," said Darrell Sabbs, Community Benefits Coordinator.

Proceeds from the Zumbathon will benefit Phoebe Foundation in support of cardiac services.
