ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Two accidents on Georgia 300 near Harris Road and Branch is causing traffic to backup. Dougherty County Police say it happened around 6:15 this morning. A Ford Ranger traveling north over the bridge and lost control from the ice, hitting a guard rail, the truck following behind stopped and that's when another vehicle rear-ended him. No one was seriously injured.

Officials are urging drivers to use caution while driving over bridges, there are still some icy patches covering the roads. Earlier this morning APD worked two crashes on the Liberty Expressway. The D-O-T is spreading sands on the area.

The roadways are damp and fog was in the area overnight. Motorists are urged to use caution, especially in the area of 300 and Harris where traffic is slowed.
