Business and government leaders in Sylvester are hoping for a big year for their economy.
They talked about the year ahead at Thursday night's annual meeting of the Sylvester Worth County Chamber of Commerce.
Walmart is building a new store in Sylvester, and the city recently was accepted into the state's Main Street program. Leaders hope that will help the downtown area prosper.
Chamber Executive Director Karen Rackley said, "We are blessed in Sylvester/Worth County because we've always been successful and we are just building upon, building upon. So we're excited for our future."
