Last Wednesday a man splashed a cup of hot coffee on a store clerk and then robbed the Flash Foods on East Baker Hwy. in Douglas. Now two brothers are in jail for the crime.

The Douglas Police Department and the Coffee County Sheriff's Office located and arrested 39 year old Earnest Knighton on Tuesday.

Just today, his brother, 37 year old Andre Knighton turned himself in at the Douglas Police Department. They are both charged with Armed Robbery and Battery in connection to this crime.

Two men went into the store on East Baker Highway, and one of the men threw a cup of hot coffee into the face and upper body of the female clerk. He pulled a large wooden stick from under his coat, and forced the clerk to the cash register.

The Clerk was treated at Coffee Regional Medical Center for burns she sustained from the coffee.

Anyone with any further information that would assist in this case is ask to contact the Douglas Police Dept. at 912-384-2222 or the Tips Line at 912-260-3600.
