ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A lot of businesses were closed Wednesday but the snow and cold didn't keep jimmie's hot dogs from opening.  In fact, workers at the downtown Albany landmark tell us this was the busiest day they've had in a while.

They were shocked so many people showed up today, but they were happy to sell their famous hot dogs.

"Very surprised because we have been slow lately and I'm surprised we've gotten this many customers with it being so cold outside," said crystal thornton, store employee.

Workers say it takes more than a little snow and cold to shut them down. They're open Monday through Thursday from 9:30 to 8:00 and Friday and Saturday from 9:30 to 9:00.
