Southwest Georgia Regional Airport back open

The first passenger flight to come or go from Albany's airport in a day and a half landed less than an hour ago.
Delta canceled all the flights from noon Tuesday until the one scheduled to arrive at 8:36 tonight. It landed an hour and a half late.

The entire airport was shut down for a little more than 24 hours because of concerns about ice on the runway.

The airfield re-opened at 3 PM and began accepting cargo and private flights. Thursday's 6 AM flight out of Southwest Georgia Regional is expected to leave on time, but passengers should check in the morning.
