Albany homeless shelters say they are prepared again Wednesday night to take in more people who need shelter from the cold.
The organizations were surprised by the low number of people who sought shelter from freezing rain and snow last night.
The Albany Rescue Mission said, besides their normal residents, only five visitors spent the night.
The Salvation Army also did not have a large turnout. But both are ready to offer shelter again tonight.
Albany Rescue Mission Office Manager Christopher Liberto said "We will be opening up the Chapel again this evening. We expect more than 5, but last night all we had was 5."
Both the Albany Rescue Mission and the Salvation Army say have seen huge increases in requests for coats and blankets this month and say donations would be appreciated.
