ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

On a visit to Albany for a campaign fundraiser, Congressman Jack Kingston stopped by to see us Monday night to spread the word about his 6-point plan on which he's basing his run for Senate.

He says as a Senator he would work to maintain a strong national defense, create more jobs and instill a strong work ethic in young people.

"What we want to do is unleash the American free enterprise system so that people will get investment capital and put it into the system they will grow businesses and create jobs that to me is what restoring the American dream is all about," said Rep. Jack Kingston (R) GA.

Kingston says he wants people in southwest Georgia to know he's a strong supporter of agriculture.

He's one of numerous candidates running in the Republican primary, hoping to replace retiring Senator Saxby Chambliss.
