ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Tree service workers encourage you to cut down weak tree limbs before they may get covered with ice.

Lee Harper with Harper Tree Service says you should avoid parking your vehicles under tree limbs.

He also says you should avoid sleeping in part of your home that may be under large oak limbs.

Ice can quickly weigh down tree limbs down and cause them to fall.

"You'll have some trees and limbs that will come through the house, or go through the car. A lot of them will fall on your power lines and cut your power out. So you need a generator on hand," Harper said.

Harper says you shouldn't trim tree limbs yourself,  but call a professional tree service to cut down tree limbs away from houses and any structures.
