Magee man changed with murder in shooting death of wife

Belinda Walker was found dead on Sunday in Magee. Officials received a report of a possible self-inflicted gunshot wound, however the case is still under investigation. The Simpson County Sheriff's Office had decided to charge a man with murder in the shooting death of his wife.

On January 26, 2014, around 7:30 a.m., officials received a report of a possible self-inflicted gunshot wound at the home on Hwy 541 S in Magee.

Simpson County deputies tell us they responded to the scene where Belinda M. Walker was found dead.

On Monday afternoon, officials announced Paul Walker was being charged.

Belinda's body has been released to the Mississippi State Crime Lab in Jackson, MS for autopsy.
