Cordele man arrested in Houston Co. murder

CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

35-year-old Devasco Lewis has been arrested in the murder of 30-year-old Kerry Glenn.

Glenn was found shot to death outside his home January 14th.

23-year-old Jamarcus Clark of Ashburn was arrested over the weekend, and charged with Glenn's murder. Investigators have not said how the men were connected or a motive in the shooting.

Authorities arrested Lewis Wednesday at his home in Cordele. He is being held in the Crisp County Detention Center, without bond.

The Houston County Sheriffs Office issued this news release-

The Houston County Sheriffs Office announces the arrest of a second suspect in the Murder of Kerry Benald Glenn.

On Tuesday, January 21, 2014, Houston County Sheriff s investigators secured a Murder warrant against 35 year old Devasko Dewayne Lewis.  Devasko D. Lewis is a resident of Cordele, GA in Crisp County.

On Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at approximately 9:00am Crisp County Sheriff s deputies arrested Lewis on the Murder Warrant.  The arrest occurred at Lewis' residence in the 2100 block of South 10th St. in Cordele, GA Crisp County.

Devasko D. Lewis is currently being held in the Crisp County Detention Center without bond on the murder charge.  The investigation into the death of Kerry Benald Glenn is continuing.  No further details will be released at this time.

 The lead investigator for the Houston County Sheriff s Office is Cpl. Patrick Lange.  Anyone with information concerning this case is asked to contact Cpl. Lange or Sgt. Greg Pennycuff at 478-542-2085 or 478-542- 2080.

The Houston County Sheriff s Office is being assisted in this investigation by the Crisp County Sheriff s Office, Perry Police Department, Turner County Sheriff s Office, GA Department of Natural Resources, and the GA Bureau of Investigations.
