community gathers seeking racial harmony

A community conversation about working for racial harmony continued Thursday night. The Racial Healing Project put on this event at Phoebe East. Their sessions are designed to build better communities in Southwest Georgia by finding ways for people to work out their differences. Organizers say it's working.

"Bringing people together and touting our local talents is what's it's all about and we can't have these conversations and see the good things in Albany if people don't come to the table," said Harriet Hollis, Project coordinator.

Thursday night's guest speaker is a Columbia University professor who founded a non-profit that helps groups reach transformative goals.
