METTER, GA (WTOC) -

What could have been just a speeding ticket turned into an interstate chase and crash.

The crash happened Wednesday on I-16 eastbound in Emanuel County as deputies chased a speeding car all the way to the Metter exit.

Deputies said the car crossed the median and went up the westbound ramp, crossed the street and struck a light pole.

Deputies and Metter Police arrested the two men and found drugs in the car.

Investigators said the case is ongoing and names will not be released at this time.
