COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

It was a gruesome scene on Benning Drive and Head Street in Columbus on Oct. 29, 2013.

There were police cars surrounding what became a murder scene with multiple shots fired and one man dead.

"When the officers arrived they found a gray Ford Focus that had struck a fence and inside the Ford Focus were two people," says Deborah Whitley with the Columbus Police Department. "One was shot multiple times and he was rushed to the hospital and the other person was 23 year old Dior Cheney and he was dead at the scene."

The second victim was identified as Travis Porter, who was shot several times but survived his attack.

The investigation revealed that 23-year-old Reginald Jamal Jackson was the shooter.

Jackson is 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 175 pounds, and goes by the nickname "Red."

He's considered extremely dangerous, and that's why police are reaching out to the public for help in bringing Jackson to justice.

"We're trying to find this murderer Reginald Jackson and he is armed and dangerous, says Whitley.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Reginald Jackson you are asked to call Crime Stoppers at (706) 653-3188.
