WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Wilmington Health and Medac have officially announced a new partnership between the area urgent care and multi-specialty physician group.

Officials say this affiliation will help improve continuity of care and decrease the cost of care to patients. The organizations are essentially integrating their information platforms to better serve the community.

Wilmington Health will provide operational support to Medac by extending things like electronic medical record, patient satisfaction measurement, and compliance infrastructure.

The new partnership is slated to begin in March.
