COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Columbus fire officials are investigating an early morning blaze that damaged at least three homes.

The homes are located on 6th Avenue near 32nd Street off Veterans Parkway. They were fully engulfed when fire crews arrived to the scene around 3:15 a.m.

According to Battalion Chief Keith Watson, the fire started in one of the houses and spread to the other two structures.

No one was inside the houses when the fire started. Officials believe the houses are vacant.

There were no reports of injuries.

Four fire units responded.
