ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A new restaurant will breathe new life into a long-vacant Albany building.

Baja's will open in February in the old Ordinary Coyote location that has been empty for 8 years.

The new owners say Baja's will bring something new that's needed in Albany.

"It's going to be called Baja's. We're going to be open in about three weeks. It's going to be like a California Pizza Kitchen with an upscale Mexican flare," said Ben Austin.

"We're looking to serve Albany and the surrounding communities to be a part of the community and to provide the best possible service," said Jason Hendrick.

Baja's will hire about 50 people to work in the restaurant. The restaurant is located on Meredyth Drive.
