If you plan to dine out this weekend, you'll want to check out CBS Atlanta's exclusive Restaurant Report Card first.

Every Thursday night at 11 p.m. CBS Atlanta News will share the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to metro Atlanta restaurants.

This week, Donny's Home Cooking at 4674 Sandy Plains Rd. in Cobb County failed a surprise health inspection.

"We didn't agree with what they gave us. The guy that came here was telling us our temperatures weren't good enough," manager Todd Labit said.

Donny's scored 63 points and a "U" for unsatisfactory. Inspectors found the facility to be very soiled and dirty with food debris, especially behind equipment. Plus, cabbage was stored uncovered in the kitchen and okra, macaroni salad and tuna were at unsafe temperatures.

"You know our boss man, he is a good guy. He just has bad luck. He can't seem to keep his temperature right on his cold food bar," server Tonya Lackey said.

The owner, James Kim, told CBS Atlanta his buffet bar was broken and that he hired a repairman to fix it.

We asked the owner to check the food temperatures on the buffet line and they were within a safe range during our visit.

We also asked the owner to show us the kitchen, where we spotted a problem in the cooler. Multiple food items were uncovered in storage.

Donny's picked up 81 points and a "B" on a re-inspection.

"The food is good. It's like home cooked food. It's like grandmother used to make," one customer said.

Last week, Bonefish Grill at 1350 Scenic Hwy. in Snellville failed an inspection and this week we've learned they improved to 87 points and a "B" on a re-inspection.

There were several good scores around metro Atlanta this week. In Fulton County, Los Rancheros at 2090 Dunwoody Club Dr. scored a 95. In Clayton County, Pizza Hut at 5707 Jonesboro Rd. picked up a 98 and in DeKalb County, Chick-fil-A at 4800 Briarcliff Rd. in Northlake Mall received a 97.

Last but not least, Mary Mac's Tea Room at 224 Ponce De Leon Avenue in Atlanta received an "A" on their inspection and was the featured restaurant of the week.
