ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Dougherty District Attorney says his office is already working to determine if criminal charges against Andrew Gadson need to be upgraded.

Greg Edwards says a forensic investigation will be conducted to determine if that severe beating led to Tilley's death. If the evidence shows it did, Tilley will face new charges.

"Possibly murder," said Edwards. "And we will be looking at those issues as we review the case further. And that's what we'll be doing in the next days."

Andrew Gadson is currently charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, robbery, and possession of tools for the commission of a crime. He is being held without bond in the Dougherty County jail.
