VetCorps hosted an MLK toiletry drive for veterans at the Dollar Tree in Richmond Hill Monday.
VetCorps is a program created by the community Anti-Drug Coalition of America to help veterans and their families with issues like substance abuse, mental illness, homelessness and hunger.
"I see a lot of veterans come in and out of my office every day in need of food items, money, housing, so I figure if they need food items then they may need toiletry items as well," said VetCorps Prevention coordinator Ayana Bryant.
Each person that donated to the drive was entered into a raffle for two gift cards.
