U.S. Senate debate draws big crowd in South Georgia

The primaries are just four months away, and Saturday voters in Adel heard from candidates who want to serve as the next U.S. Senator of Georgia.

It's the first of many debates that will be held around the state. Seven candidates showed for Saturday's debut.

Saxby Chambliss will not be running for another term.

We talked with voters to see what their looking for. One South Georgian made the trip from Lowndes County for the event.

"We got an important race going on and its great they've got everyone together. You can hear what everyone has to say. Were here to hear what they have to say. We have some trouble in Washington and we need someone to go up there and really go to bat for us in South Georgia," says Lowndes County resident Norman Bennett.

The primary election is May the 20th.
