ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Flint RiverQuarium is jumping into 2014 with its first Discovery Days event celebrating National Bird Day Sunday.

The event lets kids explore and learn about birds with special activities that include making an edible birds nest, crafting bird binoculars.

The Discovery Day also aims to teach kids about different kinds of bird beaks and how different birds use them. Kids will also be able to dress as a bird and act out "anting."

Discovery Days this month is January 19th from 2 to 4 p.m. Cost is included with regular admission, and is free for Flint RiverQuarium members. For more information visit www.flintriverquarium.com.
