Rodeo aims to save the lives of babies

EARLY CO., GA (WALB) -

You can enjoy some rodeo action Saturday.

Team Sealie is gearing up for a barrel racing and team roping event. All donations will go to the Baby Butterfly Foundation, a non-profit that funds research on sudden infant death syndrome.

The event is in memory of Sealie Harrell who died at three months from SIDS. Family friend Amanda Dobbins said, "The baby butterfly foundation is what we are doing it for in his honor. They are good about research and funeral expenses for families that can't afford it. You know nobody is prepared for the lost of a child. Nobody is."

The barrel racing will start at noon and team roping will begin at 6 p.m. at the Bluffton Arena on U.S. Highway 27 north of Blakely.
