VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

If you have children who love music... There's a program they might be interested in this weekend in Valdosta.

The Valdosta Symphony Guild will host its annual Tunes for Tots program Saturday. At ten, Orchestra musicians will demonstrate how to play a variety of instruments.

Beginning at 10:45, children will be able to try out the instruments themselves.

"The ultimate goal is basically just to expose kids to instruments, music and the orchestra," said Howard Hsu, Director of the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra.

"A lot of times in school, they won't have a chance to see what an orchestra really can do, much less hear al the different instruments. But here, they actually get exposed and get to try them as well," Hsu continued.

The event will be held in the auditorium on the first floor of the Valdosta State University Fine Arts building.

Admission is free.
