Police: Prostitutes arrested after flagging down unmarked cop cars

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A man and a woman, in separate instances, were arrested late Tuesday night after Baton Rouge Police say two of their unmarked police vehicles were flagged down.

The first one happened in the 3000 block of Florida Blvd. around 10:15 p.m. Baton Rouge Police say in the probable cause report that two officers were on patrol when 47-year-old Lucille Palmer of Baton Rouge flagged them down. The officers were in an unmarked vehicle, but were wearing full police gear.

The report states that Palmer offered to give one of the men in the vehicle oral sex for $20. An officer got out of the vehicle and placed Palmer under arrest. She was charged with third offense prostitution and was taken to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

The second instance happened 15 minutes later in the 4100 block of Florida Blvd. A different unmarked police vehicle was flagged down by 44-year-old Jason Alexis of Zachary, LA. Two officers were in the vehicle and stopped. According to the probable cause report, Alexis offered to give one of the officers oral sex for $15.

One officer got out of the vehicle, wearing full police gear, and arrested Alexis. He was charged with 3rd offense prostitution and was taken to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
