Non-profits offered important help at Thomas U.

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

The Southern Center for Nonprofit Excellence (SCeNE) at Thomas University will hold the webinar "Developing a Fundraising Plan" at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22.

Rick Munroe, Chair of the SCeNE Advisory Board and Vice President for Advancement at TU, will be the presenter.

"Having the ability to develop a plan for raising funds is crucial for any nonprofit organization," Munroe said. "That plan will direct efforts and provide the best possible results for the organization. Participants will leave this webinar with a greater understanding of exactly what a fundraising plan is and how to create one specifically tailored to meet the needs of their organization."

Created by a consortium of nonprofit leaders with the purpose of strengthening regional charitable organizations, the Southern Center for Nonprofit Excellence (SCeNE) provides high-value professional development and networking opportunities and other resources for the regional nonprofit community.

The Center directs its offerings at the intersection of community needs and the distinctive and substantial knowledge base of recognized leaders in the field of philanthropy.   Participating in the webinar is free for SCeNE members and $25 for non-SCeNE members. Registration is required.

To learn more about SCeNE or to register for the webinar, visit www.sceneresources.com or call (229) 227-6903.
