ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Making a difference in the community is a collaborative effort.

This Saturday January 11th is your chance to help Second Harvest Food Bank. Mission Change will work at the food bank warehouse at 3011 Clark Avenue from 8:30 until noon. Volunteers will sort items and check damage and dates on food. Everyone is welcome, and now after the holidays there is a major need for non perishable food items.

Executive Director LaDonna Urick says, "Serving in your community doesn't mean that you have to be so serious because you're learning to have fellowship together, giving back, teaching your children to give back doing it as a family or a great group of friends, church group or civic group bringing people together to do good."
