DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -

Dougherty County Police are looking for a shoplifter who was caught on camera.

Investigators say that man is trying to adjust 6 bottles of Dove Body Wash he hid in his pants about 4 Sunday afternoon at the Dollar General on Newton Road.

They say he had one bottle in his hand and told the clerk he forgot his money and walked out.

Police believe it's 51-year old Elvis Carr.

Investigators say shoplifting costs everyone.

"Most of the time shopliftings are not that much value, money worth, said Dougherty County Police Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick.  "But when people steal these items and the store has enough of them, then of course they could raise the price. And it could be passed on to the consumer."

Dougherty County Police have an arrest warrant charging Carr with misdemeanor theft by taking.

If you know where he is, call investigators at 430-6600.
