The incident took place at the family home on St. Mathews St.  John Church Road in Seminole County, southwest of Donalsonville, near the Chattahoochee River.

Seminole County Sheriff's Office received a 911 hang-up call Monday afternoon.  Several attempts were made by 911 operators to call the number back-- with no response.

Deputies were dispatched to the residence.  911 operators then received additional 911 calls, first requesting deputies and then an ambulance to respond to a residence on St. Mathew St. John Church Road.

Deputies located the victim who said he had been shot by his stepson.  The stepson was  taken into custody by deputies.

Coachman was transported to the Donalsonville Hospital where he received emergency treatment and was later transferred to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

The shooting is believed to be the result of a domestic disturbance.

Jones is being held at the Seminole County Jail, charges pending further investigation.
