Deer Crashes Through Pizza Hut Window

It was a startling end to the evening for employees at an Albany Pizza Hut when a deer came crashing through the window.

The window was shattered and the restaurant on East Oglethorpe Boulevard was shut down for the rest of the night.

A Department of Natural Resource officer on scene said it was the first time he's seen anything like it.

Officials aren't sure where the deer came from.  The deer lost a lot of blood in the accident and was tranquilized by a DNR officer.

The deer will be transported back to their facility to see if it can survive it's injuries or if it will have to be euthanized.
