FORT BENNING, GA (WALB) -

If you are looking for work, the Georgia Department of Corrections and the National Guard is hosting a Job Fair at Fort Benning this week.

The military job fair, which is opened to the public, will be hosted at the base on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be dozens of represents from different organizations including police and sheriff's departments. Participants need to fill out an application before arriving on Thursday.

"This job fair we are going to be offering onsite interviews so applicants should come dress to impress and bring their application," says Albany Probation Officer Alfred Johnson.

"The department of Corrections is a great way for military to transition back into the civilian world and we basically have the same structure, we have the same Corps values as the military," says Albany Probation Officer Ronnie Simmons.
