ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Atlanta group dedicated to lifting spirits of children battling cancer is now helping a South Georgia girl.

Team Summer will present Hannah Cate with a surprise play set.

The organization of former cancer patients found Cate through their website and nominated her for a gift.

Team Depot braved the chilly weather and spent the day building the set to get it ready for the big surprise.

"I just hope that she can enjoy it and it'll help distract her from all the medical stuff, 'cause I know she travels forever just to go to Atlanta," said Team Member Tyler Hayes. "She can just kind of hang out and just get away from all this craziness of having to go to the hospital and chemo life."

Hayes hasn't met Cate, but hopes the organization's support will help her like it helped him.

For more information on Team Summer, visit their website at www.teamsummer.org , and call (229)446-2010 to learn more about Team Depot within the community.
