Albany Water Gas and Light wants you to
know, if you haven't paid your bill, they won't cut off your electricity during
this cold snap.
State law actually mandates that utility
companies not shut off power on days when the temperature drops below freezing.
But cutoffs can resume when the weather
warms up, so WG&L officials remind customers to make catching up a
WG&L has a similar
summer time policy, halting cutoffs when temperatures reach 100 degrees.
