LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

Zumba instructors in Lee County are working with families to help them get fit for 2014.

Team "Fit Force" talked to parents about how to keep their children active and excited about eating well. Instructors at ICM Zumba studio say a new year's resolution of wellness and fitness should include the whole family.

"We wanted to make an impact on our young people. We want to affect the childhood obesity epidemic," said Detrell Hawkins.

"That's was our plan. To have kick off the first of January, while everybody is excited  and has goals in mind, so we trying to get that momentum going and hopefully get them throughout the year," said Emily Ingram.

ICM Zumba in Lee County plan to hold more events like this each first Saturday of the month.
