Officer Chandler Giddes, with the Sylvester Police Department has been upgraded to good condition, from fair condition.

He was brought to the hospital in critical condition. Giddes remains in the ICU at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

Officer Chandler Giddes was injured in a car crash early Saturday morning, around 7:15, in Colquitt County.

The GSP says the accident happened along the Sylvester highway between 31st Ave. and Woodmen Rd.

They say 21-year-old Giddes was driving his patrol car headed home when he hit the back of a truck, pulling a trailer. The man in the truck was not injured, and the GSP investigation continues.
