GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC (WYFF) An Upstate teacher and football coach was arrested in an undercover prostitution operation, according to the Greenville County Sheriff's Office.

Jamie Crisp, 33, a teacher at J.L. Mann High School in Greenville, was arrested by deputies who were engaged in an undercover prostitution operation held at various locations in Greenville County, said deputies.

According to deputies, Crisp reached the undercover deputy through the Internet and arranged a meeting at a specified location with the intention of exchanging money for sex.

Crisp was taken into custody and charged with the misdemeanor charge of solicitation of prostitution, said deputies.

According to deputies, if Crisp is convicted the penalty for such charge is $200 or 30 days in jail.

Greenville County School District spokesperson Oby Lyles told the Associated Press Crisp has been suspended from his job pending the outcome of an investigation. He has been employed by the school system since 2006.
