A truck driver was sent to the hospital in critical condition after a shooting Saturday morning.

The incident occurred on Millwood Street near a Taco Bell restaurant in south Nashville.

The 30-year-old male was shot in the upper abdomen by a male suspect in a white car.

The victim managed to drive away but stopped in the middle of Murfreesboro Road.

Emergency responders rushed the victim to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with stomach wounds.
