Deputies: JL Mann coach arrested during prostitution sting


Greenville County deputies said they arrested a teacher and football coach during an undercover prostitution operation Friday night.

Lt. Ty Miller said Jamie Mathew Crisp was charged with solicitation of prostitution, which is a misdemeanor.

Miller said Crisp was arrested by deputies who were engaged in an undercover operation that was held at various locations in the county.

Miller said Crisp reached the undercover deputy through the Internet and arranged a meeting at a specified location with the intention of exchanging money for sex.

Crisp was taken into custody.

Oby Lyles with the Greenville County School District said wesbites show that Crisp had been a history teacher at JL Mann High School since 2011.

He had been with the district since 2006, and previously worked at woodmont High School, Lyles said.

If convicted, Crisp could face a $200 fine or 30 days in jail, according to authorities.
