ASHBURN, GA (WALB) -

The city of Ashburn is saying goodbye to their longtime Chamber of commerce president.

Shelly Zorn is leaving to become the director at the Thomas County Development Authority.      Zorn says she's grateful for her time in Ashburn and is honored the chamber board is giving her a farewell reception.

"There's a lot I'm gonna miss about Ashburn.  Mostly the people.  You know, you make friends.  We've been here 20 years and I've been at the chamber 14, so I mostly will miss the people and I will miss the Fire Ant festival most certainly."

Zorn says she's proud to be one of the founding members of the popular Fire Ant Festival and to have helped create the industrial park in Ashburn.
