75 north and south between mile markers 53 and 55 in Tift County (before and
through the area of the new I-75 and Omega/El Dorado Road interchange).
Crews for a Georgia Department of
Transportation contractor will be sweeping debris from the median and outside
shoulders of I-75. Lane closures are possible in the inside and outside north
and southbound lanes.
Traffic pacing may be used to move equipment to and from
the median. That means prior to entering the area where crews will be working,
law enforcement officers position their vehicles in front of traffic in all
lanes in the given direction and escort traffic through the work zone at a
slower, controlled speed.
This may occur several times during the time frames
listed above. Delays may occur, so motorists are requested to be patient, obey
pacing commands, drive slowly and exercise extreme caution in this work zone.
