CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Live 5 Meteorologist Justin Lock has your frigid Friday forecast:

Arctic air has blasted into the Lowcountry along with gusty winds making for a frigid and blustery end to the week.

Today, expect bright blue skies and cold and breezy conditions with highs only climbing to the low 40s inland and on the beaches. Gusty winds to 30 mph will make it feel much colder all day long.

Tonight, winds ease up and temps drop like a rock to the lowest numbers we've since last winter. We'll fall to 26° inland and 32° along the coastline.

On Saturday the sunshine returns and so does some milder temps. It'll be slightly warmer with highs in the low 50s. 60s return on Sunday with a slight chance for rain.

Have a great day and weekend!
